TRANSITION CORNER

"Alleluia. Christ is risen!"  What glorious words to hear!  Easter is a celebration of God's love for all of us!  Christ's resurrection gives us renewed hope that God's love is here and present everyday. Let us rejoice and go forward in Christ's love. The Transition Team has a meeting tomorrow and is finalizing the content while starting the online presentation. Once the profile is complete, it will go to the Vestry for approval. If you have any questions for the Transition Team, please contact Gabby Portaluppi  (gabbyport1@gmail.com) or Monica Ward (morthuber5@gmail.com).

RED TENT OUTING - WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15

If you ever need quick formatting like this (all caps, bold, spacing tweaks, etc.), you can just paste the text and say “format this”—I’ll handle it instantly.

Alas, best laid plans and all - the Mission College Culinary school does not serve lunch on Wednesdays so we will not be visiting there next week.  However, based on a suggestion from Susan Cornner, we WILL be visiting the Hollywood Museum in Hollywood!  It is in the old Max Factor building on Highland Avenue, and is filled with old Hollywood artifacts and special exhibits, including black artists in television/movies, World War II in the movies, and a Fran Drescher exhibit!  Admission is $12 for seniors.  Lunch afterward at the famous Mel's Diner!

We will meet on Wednesday morning at 10:30am at church, and drive to the museum.  Carpooling is encouraged!

Please RSVP to Marsha at Marshavanv@gmail.com.Hope to see you there!

4TH ANNUAL FALL BLOOD DRIVE
Our annual blood drive will take place in the Parish Hall on Sunday, September 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Red Cross must collect up to 14,000 donations per day to meet patient needs. We are committed to doing our small part in meeting this need. What takes you a few minutes to donate gives someone something priceless – their life. Your donation may help to save up to three lives.

We will have more information about scheduling your appointment as we get closer to the event.  If you are unable to donate blood but still want to help, please contact Maria Rountree. As always, thank you for supporting our efforts to help the broader community.

MINISTRY OF HEALING

We are happy to offer the Ministry of Healing during selected Sunday services to anyone who wishes to participate. This has proven to be an intimate, comforting, and valuable experience. Healers are members of the congregation who are available to pray, one-on-one, with any parishioner who would like a healing prayer. Parishioners may come up to the healer who will be standing near the font, after taking communion. The healer may ask if there is any special prayer they would like. At this time, we will have a healer available on the first, third, and fifth Sundays.

The healers are:

8:00 a.m.                     10:00 a.m.
