| As a Youth Group, we decided to participate in the Relay For Life - an event sponsored by the American Cancer Society to raise funds for research. Our plan to raise money was simple and effective - we decided to "kidnap" our priest and hold him for ransom. In the middle of the service (which happened to be Mother's Day) our "crew" walked in, took him, and walked out. We left behind a ransom note with our instructions. The members of the parish were great sports and contributed to our fundraiser in a truly generous fashion. We raised close to $1000.00 with this stunt. | |||||||||||||||||||
