ADULT FAITH FORMATION:
We are all familiar with saving the whales and saving Pvt. Ryan, but our adult faith formation class for May 4th, 11th, & 18th, we will focus on saving Jesus. Saving Jesus is a DVD presentation by several of today’s top theologians speaking on topics like:
Who was Jesus? What is atonement? Who really killed Jesus? Join Fr. Greg as he leads this provocative series. Class meets Sunday at 9 a.m. in the St. Andrew Room.
NEW ACOLTYES!!!!
Are you 10 years old? Do you have a burning desire to come to church and not sit with your parents? Then, being an acolyte is just for you! On the serious side, our worship service is very important to Episcopalians. Central to our worship are acolytes----those young persons who assist at the altar. If you feel so moved by the Holy Spirit to participate in our service more than sitting in the pew, then join the acolyte team. If you have any questions, please contact David Dean, our acolyte leader
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN
Beginning each September, all grades from pre-school through
high school start Sunday School Classes. The pre-school class
with Miss Barbara will meet in the St. Andrew room; the first through third graders will meet with Jan Schlessinger in the
St. Charles room and the fourth and fifth grades will meet with
Kristin Hyde-Kruska in the Parish Hall. (Sixth through high school
is outlined below in Youth Education.) Classes start at 10 am with Children's Chapel in the St. Andrew Room. Parents are encouraged to arrive fifteen minutes early in order to assure starting on time.
YOUTH EDUCATION
All young persons between the sixth grade and senior in high school are our YOUTH! You keep us alive as well as set our cell phone ring tones, DVD players and tell us what podcasts are. Where would we be without you? I know...I know - driving Park Avenues and thinking Black Eyed Peas are something one eats. And let's not even mention emos! For all of you who understand all of this, your class and Youth group, is for you.
